![]() Still, it was a game worth experiencing and I'm glad I had enough patience to persevere despite the snafu. The one caveat that made me want to bang my head is that the game kept crashing in the same place in one of the last missions (based on other feedback it seems pretty common for saves to become corrupted), so I eventually had to use someone else's save file to complete the game. If you don't mind graphics and mechanics that feel a bit dated, I think the gameplay overall still holds up fairly well if you have the Sneaky Upgrade patch installed. Save for one particularly frustrating level that I ended up using a walkthrough for and a surprisingly easy final mission, I liked the balance in the difficulty - not too challenging but still satisfying to beat (I played on normal). Though the plot was kind of strange and nonsensical, I think most of the missions were well thought out and varied enough in their design to keep things interesting. Despite being an older game, I really enjoyed taking my time with this one and had a lot of fun sneaking around in the shadows, stealing loot, and generally being stealthy.
